Inspired by the flavors of Cairo, Egypt, this Middle Eastern blend of hazelnuts, seeds, herbs & spices was the inspiration for our Glory Kitchen collection of nut & spice mixes.  Our Cairo blend is a dukkah, often sold on the streets of Egypt in a hand rolled newspaper cone.  They use it for bread and olive oil dipping – and wow, it’s a burst of crunchy flavor.

Hazelnuts and seeds are hand chopped and mixed for a peppery, spunky bite which will enhance all types of foods from roasted vegetables to fish and meats. Add it to dressings, sprinkle on eggs, or top an avocado toast.

Cairo blend can be used straight from the jar or applied during the roasting process which enhances the robust and spicy flavors.

Use Cairo nut & spice blend as a rub or as a finishing crunch on beef, chicken, fish, or pork.  If used as a rub, add during the last 10 -15 minutes of cooking time so as not to burn the small nut pieces.
